YEN LIM holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and a Masters of Science from the University of Sydney. She is a member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA) and the Australian Association for Cognitive and Behaviour Therapy (AACBT).
Yen is a compassionate therapist who believes that the courageous decision to engage in therapy should be met with warmth, respect and great care. She individually tailors treatment plans to help deepen insight and draw on personal strengths. Based on each person's unique needs, this may involve the integration of: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT); Schema Therapy; Narrative Therapy; or Relational and Mindfulness-based approaches such as, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
Yen works with adults, adolescents and school-age children who may be experiencing a broad range of difficulties including (but not limited to) depression, anxiety, relationship, self-esteem, life adjustment, sexuality, sleep, impulse control and emotion regulation difficulties. She can provide short-term interventions or longer-term therapy for more complex issues. Yen also has a particular interest in working with individuals who may experience alterations in perception, thought and behaviour, such as in schizophrenia or bipolar disorder.
