      KAHALA DIXON holds a Graduate Diploma and Honours degree in Psychology from The University of Sydney, and a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from Macquarie University. She is also a Registered Nurse, graduating in a Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Sydney, Technology in 2011. Kahala is a Member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA) and Australian Psychologist Society (APS).


      Kahala has undertaken psychological research in clinical areas including older adults with mood difficulties, dementia and cognitive concerns. She has extensive experience working as a nurse across various settings, particularly in cardiology within the public sector. 


      Kahala has a particular interest in working with adolescents and adults, specifically with individuals with anxiety, mood disorders, adjustment to physical illness, grief, PTSD, complex trauma, and women with perinatal/postnatal mental health difficulties. She works within both short- and long-term therapy frameworks, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy and trauma-focused therapies such as Cognitive Processing Therapy.
