    Areas of practice include but are not limited to:

      BELINDA POOLE holds a PhD in neuropsychology, a Master of Clinical Psychology, and an Honours degree in Psychology from the University of Sydney. She is a member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association, the Australian Psychological Society College of Clinical Psychologists and the Australian and New Zealand Academy for Eating Disorders (ANZAED). 


      Belinda is a compassionate, non-judgemental, and empathetic therapist who endeavours to provide a safe and collaborative space to work through your challenges. She has experience working with adults, children, adolescents, and families across various sectors, including hospital settings, community mental health, and in schools. Belinda has a particular interest in working with people who have body image concerns and eating disorders. She also has experience providing assessment and treatment for individuals experiencing a range of difficulties, including (but not limited to) anxiety, depression, self-harm, interpersonal difficulties, trauma, perinatal mental health, parenting difficulties, psychosis, and stress and adjustment challenges across the lifespan. Belinda is also fluent in Australian Sign Language (AUSLAN) and is familiar with deaf culture and community due to her experience as a CODA. She is also neurodiversity affirming and queer friendly. 


      Belinda is passionate about personalised and evidence-based care and draws on a number of therapy modules, including from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Compassion Focussed Therapy, Systemic Family Therapy, and Schema Therapy. In conjunction with her clinical practice, Belinda has a strong research background and is a postdoctoral research fellow and lecturer at The University of Sydney. Her current research aims to improve the mental health and wellbeing of children and adolescents in school-based settings. She has published a number of papers and attracted a number of awards and prizes for her research.
